Thousand Trails Sturbridge

Thousand Trails Sturbridge is a small, peaceful and natural - setting campground. From the moment you enter, to the time you leave, Kim the General Manager and her entire host team make you feel like you are family. The scenic pond has a small white beach overlooking the water where at no charge, kayaks and boats may be used. There are free standing wood burning fireplaces on the beach for your serene relaxation. The recreation hall, lounge and store depict a log cabin atmosphere. Activities run varied and engaging for all ages. The grounds are very well maintained which allows for bocce ball, volley ball, basketball and yes, a no-fee remote control car course. I’ll keep this short here, this campsite was really special. The staff was bright and inviting. They really felt like they wanted to make sure our stay was a great one. Everyone we interacted with was top notch. Typically in our travels to camp sites we run into employees that are tired or burnt out. Not here. They were warm and inviting. Clean bathrooms, hot showers, great amenities and a great trip.

Beautiful area. Two types of campsites for your motorhome, in the forested area or out in the open, which are smaller sites. Grounds were well taken care of except for the mini golf which could use some attention. There is a small dog park. Short drive into town for groceries , restaurants, gas, etc.

I can't say enough about the staff at this campground, they were unbelievably accommodating ! They made it a joy to be there and were genuinely kind, thoughtful and eager to help in anyway possible. Without out them this campground would be a 2 maybe 3 star at the very best. The campground is need of some updates, the new bathrooms, store and Landry room is very nice and was kept very clean, unfortunately it ended there. Again the Staff is really what made this place a hidden gem!

We are full time travelers and (almost) exclusively use Thousand Trails (we are members). The campground itself is lovely and the surrounding area is very nice. Up until now we have had a smooth stay. However, my husband went down around noon to use the showers and bathrooms today and waited 45/50 minutes before finally leaving. Chrystal (forgive me if her name is misspelled) blocked off both bathrooms and closed down the store during this time, which meant that none of the facilities were available. My husband is a very patient person- but when two of Chrystal’s friends walked up and asked if she could open the store for them because they were making chili…and she said yes…he was flabbergasted. She proceeded to walk over and happily open up the store just for them, all the while my husban
