The amateur-hour hospitality service overshadows the clean, comfortable rooms and good location. It's not worth the money. I stayed one night in the Westin thinking that it would be a somewhat upscale experience given the newness of the hotel, the relatively steep price, and it's prime location across the street from the Irving Convention Center and within a small entertainment district in Las Colinas. First, my family and I took two Ubers to the hotel as we had a lot of luggage and couldn't fit everything in one car. Even though no one was valeting their car, the valet staff never offered to bring us luggage carts. They could see that we had enough bags to fill more than two luggage carts, and we had to carry a small child. Sadly, they never bothered to help us into the hotel or so muc
It was another great stay here at the westin Irving for my business travel. The hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I ever stayed in. Having worked in a hospital for much of my life, I notice. Kristi and her team have customer service down. From the fabulous restaurant staff to the front desk to the bell stand and housekeepers. A shout-out to manager Kristi, Marcus at the bell stand, Ebony and Sherrie at the front desk and especially Cindy in the concierge’s food area. Her co-worker in the mornings make it nice as well. This place has a young GM. He runs a good place with employees who like him which makes a good team. I will be back.
I paid nearly $300 per night for this hotel, which is advertised as a four-star property, and the experience was extremely disappointing and not worth the price. The first morning, we went to breakfast at Mesa Mescal expecting full service. Instead, it was a buffet with very basic items of eggs, potatoes, meat, grits, toast, and a very poor pastry selection. Based on the quality and presentation, I genuinely thought it must be complimentary. They charged us $18 per person for that type of breakfast, which is outrageous, especially when much cheaper hotels offer complimentary breakfasts with significantly more variety and better quality (pancakes, waffles, etc). Under normal circumstances, we would have gone to nearby restaurants instead. However, we were iced in due to weather conditions
Lobby: Lobby is clean and the decor is nice. Room: Room is clean, furnitures are new, bathroom is clean, shower is awesome. I'm partial to modern / minimalist decor, so the room is fine by me. Staff: Friendly and nice. However, my only complaint is that we weren't told of the amenities. We have to figure them out ourselves. Amenities: Decent size fitness center and pool. They have towels and drinks in the gym, which I think is great. Overall: Great for business trips and even non-business trips. I wouldn't call it a luxury hotel by any means, but the facilities and customer service are good overall.
Absolutely great location with amazing staff especially Cindy in the lounge and Keyshawn the valet. This location is accessible friendly and does have accessible parking and facilities. It is very easily visible from the roadway and accessible from the roadway from two different directions. There is plenty of parking and the valley is great even when they are busy. The bathrooms at this location are great and maintain cleanliness very well. Cleanliness of the overall hotel is amazing including in the rooms and thoroughfares etc. They have great food and snacks on hand alone with drinks and the snack supply in the lounge is absolutely amazing thanks to the wonderful Cindy. She was absolutely amazing at providing everything that we needed and more and will definitely be a shining reason for
