The Westin Galleria Dallas

Never stay here. They are a conference hotel that couldn’t care less they are a conference hotel. Do you want to wait 40 minutes for an elevator? Do you like taking the stairs from a top floor every time you want to go down? Does the staff care? No do they care about fixing the broke elevator, also no. Would I ever stay here for pleasure that’s an even bigger no. Do they care if you ever come back, no.

⭐️ 1 Star – Disrespectful Treatment and Unjustified Charges This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Westin or Marriott property. We were snowed in and forced to rely on the hotel for food. The restaurant food was inedible, yet we were still made to pay half. The next morning, after we ate at the restaurant, I contacted management first to discuss what had happened. He agreed to essentially make us pay half instead of the full bill, even though the food was terrible. However, after I had already discussed this with management, when I went downstairs to address something else, one of the front desk staff accused me of trying to leave without paying, claiming I had written down the wrong room number. The only thing I did was sign my name and add a tip; the staff themselves wrote

The hotel is good and it is in a great location. One of the highlights is the water pressure in the shower was amazing. Some lows were the elevators were extremely slow, and the hotel seems to look a bit run down, especially its carpets. The entire hotel has the feel that it once was very elegant, but it's definitely getting older.

The Westin Dallas benefits from a fantastic location with direct access to the mall, making shopping and dining extremely convenient. Unfortunately, the overall experience was mixed. Parking was a nightmare, and the hotel really should reserve parking spaces specifically for hotel guests. The rooms, while spacious, are very dated and in need of serious refurbishment. The property overall (gym included) feels tired and behind current standards. Housekeeping service was slow — we returned to our room at 1:30 pm and it still had not been made. In addition, we asked reception for extra towels on multiple occasions but they were never received. The linens and towels appear old and would benefit from being rotated or replaced. Positive: Attached to the Galleria. Negative: Rooms were old and kind of musty smelling. The staff was not welcoming at all, in fact almost a little stand offish. The parking is absolutely horrendous.
