Customer Reviews
Location is great and in room furnishings are vintage and quirky. However, arrived on Dec 5 late, went to the room and there was no hot water. It came on at about 7am the next morning. Then again, on Saturday night Dec 6 the hot water went out again. Sleep quality was fine so was quietness and overall ambience. I was a bit confused with regard to the on property dining. There’s a small breakfast buffet each morning in the restaurant , but dinner appears to only be available Weds thru Sun. What’s not clear is whether this applies to room service as well. Bar is nice enough with attentive staff, welcoming and professional. Upon check out I was told at reception that their system was down and couldn’t be provided with a final bill or receipt, but that one would be emailed to me, bu
I actually did not stay at this hotel but I guarantee I will be next time. The staff was very nice and professional. The reason I was there was for the restaurant called finch on fifth. Talk about great food!! The stroganoff, the Angus burger, the smoked buffalo wings, the steak, all were awesome! I couldn't remember the actual names but it was all really really good. I highly recommend it if you go there. Just put finch on fifth in your Google maps to get you there in Portland Oregon. Absolutely worth it and the prices were decent as well.
Positive: Lobby was interesting Negative: Rented two rooms one Aircon would not shut off they would not provide heater or change rooms the other heat and air on continuously caked all night between hot and cold Plumbing is old Decor is incongruous at best hotel and staff need renovation
We recently stayed at this hotel in Portland and had a generally good experience, though there are definitely opportunities for improvement. The location is excellent—right in a busy area and close to plenty of restaurants, which was very convenient. The hotel itself is nice overall, but on the pricier side for what you get. The room, however, had several drawbacks. The bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, had very limited counter space, and felt extremely tight—especially if you have toiletries or a makeup kit. The makeup lamp wasn’t working, and the toilet flushed more like an airplane toilet, which was quite odd and a bit unsettling. Additionally, the hotel charges an extra $15 “credit” that they say can be used toward purchases on the property, but since even breakfast costs more than $20
Stayed here twice now. Rooms are spacious and quiet, you won't hear anyone else while in your room room. They're remodeled nicely as well. Great location too, plenty to walk to and a cheap Uber to other parts of Portland. Anything else I've stayed at in the price range has been a loud shoebox of a room.
