The Ritz-Carlton, Portland

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton was absolutely exceptional, and a huge part of that was thanks to Bernavie the Assistant Front Desk Manager. She truly went above and beyond in every way. Bernavie was incredibly warm, personal, and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for from the moment we arrived. She anticipated our needs, handled every detail flawlessly, and added thoughtful personal touches that made our stay unforgettable. This is hospitality at its finest—Bernavie is a true asset to the Ritz-Carlton brand. We can’t wait to return! :)!

I recently stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Portland and found the property to be sleek, immaculate, and undeniably luxurious. The design and overall ambiance are impressive, setting the tone for a high-end experience. That said, while I truly enjoyed the hotel itself, the service and food did not fully meet my expectations. Having stayed at several Ritz-Carlton properties overseas, I noticed a noticeable difference, particularly in the Club Lounge. The food offerings there felt somewhat limited and mediocre compared to the wide variety and quality I’ve experienced internationally. The host, Alex set the tone for what became an extraordinary dining experience. She was incredibly attentive, welcoming us promptly, confirming our reservation with ease, and ensuring we felt comfortable right away. The valet service was excellent — everything was extremely fast when getting my car in and out. I received message updates and was able to request my car easily through the link provided.||Even though there was a very long line during New Year’s Eve check-in, the front desk handled it efficiently and moved the line quickly. The swimming pool is amazing and offers adult-only hours from 6–8 a.m. and again in the evening, which was a great bonus. ||Breakfast was great with fast service, and the restaurant on the 20th floor was beautiful with excellent service as well. This is not just a beautiful, newer property, it is also an example of world class service. ||From the valet, to door attendants, bellhops - basically every staff member I encountered was welcoming and inviting.
