The Palms Resort

We went to the restaurant and surprisingly have rarely had as good a salad as we have here. How do you improve fresh lettuce? Top it with the best dressings with a side of chicken strips. A great deal actually.

This is an older property but well kept. Everything was very clean. Bed was comfortable, The bathroom area was small and lacked space to put anything down so had to improvise. Shower OK. Full size fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker and small sink in kitchen area. Only a couple of mugs and glasses in the many cupboards - so if planning to eat anything bring supplies. |Didn't try the restaurant but it looked good with a view towards the beach. |Parking spaces relatively small but found one when I needed it.|It seemed like a very sociable place with people sitting outside their rooms and chatting. Those I spoke to seemed to be staying for several days/weeks and were return visitors. |Wished I could have stayed longer and I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here one night when passing through and it was perfect! Room was quiet, clean, well stocked, and the cafe was so close and convenient. Cozy bed and the AC worked great! Beach access is directly outside and it wasn’t crowded. Shower was great and the full size fridge was convenient. A+ will return!

I remember staying here when we were kids and now that they've added the "Cafe on the Beach" and a pool, they've refurbished many of the accomodations and I can't believe the quality of the linens and towels. Kathryn, the GM is always visible bussing tables and making a point to talk to all the guests... she can't wait to talk about the Seafood Bisque and it is truly scrumptous.

The palms cafe is a must do on Padre Island. Peaceful relaxing setting, great staff and quality well priced food. Share a cheeseburger and fries so you have room for the key lime pie! They have great breakfast, sandwiches and muscles! Don’t forget the virgin strawberry, mango mixed daiquiris. Only $4.00 and the attentive staff split it for us old folks! Enjoy!
