South Padre Island KOA Holiday

Very clean. Fairly quiet for it's size . All facilities clean, showers laundry pool. Small dog park but there is plenty of dog walking space around the park. County park with beach access within walking distance. Great places to eat all along the boulevard. Park staff... really nice bunch.

We drove 14 hours to watch Starship 10 launch, we have been here before to watch Starship 8, and loved it.it is a next big park, there are also sites on the water. They have cabins, a boat dock as well. Pool is nice with a common ground area indoors and outdoor with tables and chairs. Play ground for kids and activities. Laundry area and bathhouse. The Koa is on water with beautiful views and sunset. The employees are amazing, working all day and super nice. There are a few restaurants next-door that I would recommend mahi Nic’s and Dirty Al’s, very good and you can also walk there. The RV resort sits at the end of South Padre directly across from the starship base so you can see the starship go off very easily great place for starship and rocket fans. KOA South Padre is a beautiful park. It is kept very clean and organized by the friendly staff. Tom definitely stands out and is truly at the heart of this RV resort. As the night host, he goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcomed, safe, and taken care of. No matter the hour, Tom is attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in guests’ comfort. He handles every need with professionalism and kindness, and it shows. On top of that, the pool and hot tub are always spotless and perfectly maintained —an absolute highlight after a long day of travel. I will definitely be staying there allot!!!!

Best thing about this park was the location on the island. The park has very tight sites. The grounds are not really good for walking dogs. Very few grass areas sites are all rock , with asphalt through the rest for the park. I was concerned my dog would burn his feet because of all the asphalt. Got woke up 2 mornings by the dumpsters eing emptied at 5:30 in the morning. Staff was extremely helpful , though we had to cut our trip short , and they gave us a refund on all nights.

Lovely place to set up our camper. Daily activities we enjoyed. Close to the state park that we could walk to. Very nice pool and hot tub. All staff were welcoming and friendly. We booked our trip back for next year. Winter Texan
