This was our first time in Cape Cod and the weather was terrible. We were there for a wedding. I think the view would’ve probably been wonderful from our cottage. The cottage had everything we needed, just very old and could use some updating. We ate some delicious clam chowder on our way to the cottage at The Local Tavern and Grille in Sandwich, MA.

I was so happy to be back at my favorite Provincetown hotel for my 19th year! The Masthead is located right on the bay, with a beautiful view from the long and pictureque deck. The area is generally quite quiet and away from the hubbub of the center of town, but is not far from where the buzz starts. It's a short bike ride, drive or not-too-long walk to the beach at Herring Cove; and a short walk to the beautiful Breakwater at the foot of Commercial Street. The Masthead staff are friendly and helpful; the rooms are comfortable and have been updated over the years, and the grounds are gorgeous, lined with beautiful flowers and greenery.

Will not be returning. Buyer beware: I booked a Labor Day stay via Amex and didn't notice this location's atypical 90 day (30 is standard) and/or no cancellation policy - on me. We had a death in the family that required us to leave the cape about 12 hours after arrival. I asked about recovering one of the two unused nights and both days of the unused parking fee. Turns out that the front desk is powerless to assist an they referred the questions to the owner. Alas, the owner refused to answer/return any calls. At this point, it's not about the money (though, I still have an Amex dispute pending on the parking fee). It's really about having the basic decency to return a call. Aside: the parking situation was unclear and cost another $90 for the weekend, which they insisted on charging se

As some of the positive reviews indicate, the location of the Masthead Resort is excellent, in both the view of the bay as well as proximity to town. /Users/michael/Desktop/IMG_8751.jpg The gardens were stunning and service at the front desk was helpful, friendly and even playful. Clearly, some of the reviews mention that the rooms were lovely and updated. Unfortunately, ours was neither. My recommendation is to stay at this inn, but be sure to get one of the good rooms. Our room left much to be desired. The bed was crammed into a space so narrow that one had to climb in from the foot of the bed. There was no room to put glasses, a phone or anything else that a nightstand would have accommodated. /Users/michael/Desktop/IMG_8753.jpg The closet was an embarrassment. It would not tak

I stayed at Richards Cottage 35 at Masthead resort as part of a party of 5. The cottage is nice. Everything was clean and tidy. There's a kitchen, living room, breakfast/eating nook, and full bathroom on the first floor. 3 bedrooms and bathroom on the second floor. Let's start in the kitchen. It's a galley kitchen with room for maybe 2 people tops. Countertop, sink, faucet, and appliances all seemed on the new side. There is a microwave. It would be helpful if the drawers had pull handles as they were a bit hard to open. There were pots and pans, some oven safe pans (roasting pan). I called and asked if there was a cookie sheet before our trip and was told there was. There was not. We made due with the roasting pan. There was a cutting board. Knives could use sharpening. Couldn't find an
