The Keene Inn

This place is a flophouse. Always has been, always will be. I think some people think “people exaggerate. It can’t be that bad.” It is that bad.||The purpose this place serves is emergency housing for the homeless and as far as that goes, it’s not that bad. At least I haven’t heard of any murders here (not saying there isn’t any. Just saying I haven’t heard of any).||But if you are looking to stay here for any other purpose other then shooting up drugs or for a shower when you haven’t had one for months, DO NOT STAY. ||I’m serious. No children. No families. No couples. Old drunks only. You’ve been warned.

This is a HOmeless Hotel the CITY ofKEENE pays for the rooms for the HOMLESS to keep them off the street! I don't know why its listed as a hotel to the PUBLIC??

While this Inn could be better overall, it's not the worst place. The room we got was updated, it was decently clean, and it wasn't terribly small. This place used to get a bad rep, but if you're looking for a place to rest your head for the night and take a decent shower without breaking the bank, this place isn't half bad.

I wouldn’t stay at this place if someone paid me. I had to park near it the other day to go to the store in the front of the property. My wife and I were shocked with the look of the place. Garbage, old televisions, coolers, broken down vehicles and old furniture are all over. It looks like it is abandoned and being used by squatters and addicts. I can’t believe the town doesn’t do anything about it. I’m so happy I don’t live in Keene and will never be in the position to have to stay in a place like this. I suppose it’s good enough for those people who get free rooms off the state but I feel bad for people who get tricked into paying money for the place.

In the 70' s it was a wonderful place to stay with the restaurant and all. But like so many hotel properties it fell into disrepair with new and poor ownership and is basically a dump and now it is closed. It's day has come and gone.......
