Best Western Plus Keene Hotel

The hotel had a pleasant atmosphere with friendly stuff who made me feel like home.During my check in I felt so welcomed ,the guy at the front desk in the morning shift was very professional. The only thing they need updated here most likely in the future is the carpet .The Lady in the evening who works at the front desk needs to work on her social skills,she seemed cold and kinda confused when I asked for a towel for the gym,seemed to me like she didn'twant to be there .Not a slight smile,mean face and go time ,she definitely don't brighten anyone's day as a receptionist upfront in the night shift.Breakfast was continental, let's not sugarcoat it ,it had everything you would need for a good power up breakfast, do not expect Steaks and omelets it's a quick grab and go breakfast so I was v

I've stayed at this motel in years past when "Home" in Keene. It is conveniently located at the intersection of Highways 9 and 10, immediately south of the traffic circle, on Rt 10.||The staff are super friendly, warm and inviting ... but their organization/coordination skills need some work.||Making reservations (by phone) I could not understand the gentleman working the evening desk. The evening when I checked in, I called from the room and asked for a wake up call, he told me to set the alarm clock ... and I informed him there wasn't one in the room. He agreed to take the wake up call, but I never got it.||The next morning I mentioned it to the very nice young man working the desk and he apologized, and as long as he was working the desk, I got my wake-up calls. Positive: The desk staff were courteous and friendly. Negative: The price was high by about 25 percent.A maintenance man who could not speak English broke into my room while I was napping. I thought he was a burglar.It was so hot outside that there was no way to sleep without AC, but there weren't enough blankets.

We stayed here because this hotel was VERY AFFORDABLE FOR WEEKENDS! (less than $130/night for a luxury King-sized Bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, Indoor Pool and... ... HOT BREAKFAST BUFFET WITH " Make Your Own Belgian Waffles {( Weekends Only)} I wanted to not have pressure and worry about drive home 2 hours back to Cape Cod Massachusetts... after driving 2 hours up to Keene, visit downtown Keene, enjoy lunch at a local pub, supper at Applebee's and finally .. playing Black Jack and Roulette at The Revo Casino-Keene! They have Slot Machines too . I just don't play those because I love playing cards games and I LOVE the high winnings when my numbers hit, playing Roulette. The rooms bathroom was absolutely disgusting, let alone the size and structure to competitors with in a stones throw away. False or not advertised, non functional pool. Hotel guest with a 5 year old child with a wait for in house dining at restaurant adjacent to hotel ( disappointed) after 30 minute wait at a 510 notation at front desk on a Saturday night. Overall a disappointment from start to finish with this establishment. I did not expect the Ritz, but none the less at least quality blue collar class treatment.
