Courtyard by Marriott Keene Downtown

My husband and I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Keene during our holiday visit to see family. Although I grew up in Keene and my parents live locally, we decided to stay at the hotel this time - and we're so glad that we did. What a unique experience to see your hometown through the lens of a tourist. We've stayed at many Courtyards by Marriott over the years, and the Keene location absolutely lived up to the Marriott standard in every way. The hotel was spotless, the amenities were up to date, and the service was consistently warm and professional. The onsite bistro, bar, and cafe add so much value and convenience, giving guests a relaxing space to unwind, grab a bite, or enjoy a drink without ever leaving the property. Positive: Big room, staff was nice. Negative: We booked this hotel specifically for the indoor pool as we were on vacation. Once we checked in we were informed the pool was out of order and we would not be able to swim.

We have stayed here a few times when we come up to visit family in Swanzey, and it is always a pleasant stay with a great nights rest. Rooms are clean, spacious bathroom with modern upgrades. Good water pressure. Front desk staff is well trained in recommendations for goings-on in the area, food/dining/bars, etc. and are overall very welcoming and professional. It is located in a great area, walking distance to several shops , bars, restaurants, and more; for longer stays, there is a grocery store next door. Parking lot is a bit small in the back, but not bad. Would highly recommend.

We stayed for one night and upon check in the front desk staff were very rigid and unfriendly. We arrived about 20 min prior to check in time. It's not a problem if rooms aren't ready but it's also really uncommon. We were told no rooms were clean yet. Though, 10 minutes later everything was clean. It just seems like poor hotel management. We were also signed to an accessible room, which we did not book, and when I inquired about why we were given this room the only explanation was "were fully booked, it's all we have. " I did make our reservation months in advance, this was not a last minute booking nor was it a discounted booking. There were no pillows/ sheets to make up the fold out couch and when we went to get those supplies because our son was going to user that bed, they cou

We had a great stay here for a destination wedding. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, whether it was at the front desk or the bistro. The small convenience shop next to the front desk was very handy, and those cookies were top notch. Room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the mountains! I needed to borrow a pair of scissors and the front desk went in search of a pair that they felt was good enough (that was so kind, thank you!), and that saved my outfit big time. Check out time of noon was exactly what was needed, and it was a breeze to check out. Thank you!
