The Inn at Pasatiempo

Can’t beat the location if you’re playing Pasatiempo but the property is much more run down than the website shows. We were also incredibly frustrated and disappointed to find that the “year round heated pool” was “closed for the season.” I had to go on ResortPass to buy access to a pool at a much nicer property nearby (which is where we will stay on our next visit to Santa Cruz).

I was a bit weary on staying here based on some reviews but it all went fine. My compliments to the management as we got stuck at the airport due to arriving late and the rental car agency was closed. Thank you Robert! We called the Inn right away. They did not charge us. We played golf at Pasatiempo. Our room at the inn was clean. It was not crowded while we were there. This is a rustic place and the rooms open to the outside. If you want a 5 star hotel with a spa this is not your place. We appreciated the coffee and danish that were complimentary in the morning. The table is the room is big and fits 2 people great for breakfast in the room. Bed was comfortable too.

Upon arrival we were greeted nicely. Assigned to a room that unfortunately the AC was not working. When reported to the front office, Jessica took care of us and requested maintenance to check on it and they did promptly. While we ate at the grill located on site (it is delicious and the service was great as well). She came to our table and let us know it was not possible to fix so they would need to relocate us. It was absolutely sweet of her and upgraded us as well. We had decorated the previous room for my son’s birthday, we were able to easily move our items and redecorate our new room. It is wonderful and AC is working fabulous. My son was over the moon in the new space. Thank you for making this experience great for us as it is our first vacation in a while we’ve done.

As part of a 12-person golf group, the combination of the Inn at Pasatiempo and Pasatiempo Golf Club was phenomenal. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. The dinner at the Back Nine Bar and Grill was incredible. We will be back.
