Beach Street Inn and Suites

The location was great! You can easily walk to the wharf, bowling, the arcade, resturants, the boardwalk and the ocean because you are right across the street from Santa Cruz beach. The staff was wonderful and always willing to help. They will make fresh coffee, lattes, snow cones, and popcorn for you and your family. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and there was a microwave and a mini fridge. I loved sitting on the deck in the morning and looking at the waves as I enjoyed my coffee.

We stayed at the Beach Street Inn for the weekend and had a very pleasant experience - the room was nice and had a clean bathroom with a very large shower. Also, the TV in the room allowed us to easily Chromecast our Netflix app to the TV so we could watch one of our favorite series in the evening. There was a very nice heated pool and spa area, including a large firepit to use in the cool evening. They also had fresh coffee available in the office, along with delicious lattes or vanilla lattes - and the hours to get coffee were from 6 am until 10 pm. Also, you could walk over to the Santa Cruz Wharf, which was just across the street. All in all, we had a very nice stay at the Beach Street Inn and look forward to staying there again!

First of all, there's a hidden $22 fee for parking which I was not aware of. The bathroom did not close/lock properly. Many of the fixtures in the room (with the beach/sea theme) were easily falling off. One of the front desk staff was so loud on the phone that it was difficult to have a conversation with the other staff. The only good things worth mentioning are the location (right next to the wharf) and the popcorn + snow cones. Overall the reviews felt were very misleading which is why I really wanted to write this review -- beware it's not as great as you read in many of these reviews. I ended up regretting choosing this place within minutes of checking in.

We were here for a short getaway to relax and unwind. The room are comfy and pretty with ocean theme decor. It's just steps away from the beach. All the staff at the property are kind and truly know what customer service is. Olivia at the reception was humble, friendly and always willing to help. I tried their snow cones 'Tigers blood' was so good. The poolside is beautiful along with a hot tub.. We had a great time and we would love to come back.

Positive: We loved overlooking the ocean from our room and the proximity to the boardwalk. Negative: Pay parking.
