The Inn at Burwell Place Inc.

Had my 50th high school reunion. Stayed for 5 days and never experienced any issues. The host, Cindy Lou was fantastic, always available and treated me like family. I will be returning and also telling my friends and family about this hidden jewel in Salem.

The Inn and hosts are amazing. Quiet with cozy beds with ceiling fans. Decor is nostalgic of historic era but provided wonderful creature comforts to include delicious home baked goodies. The hosts provided a Relaxing retreat away from the stress of the wedding weekend. We will stay here on our future adventures.

Salem is a charming town and The Inn at Burwell Place is a gem. Near, old Salem shops, a park, colleges, Roanoke, and my favorite - the Blue Ridge Parkway, there's so much to do. Such a beautifully maintained and decorated home, built in 1905ish and has been added onto and comfortably renovated into a lovely B&B. The owners were gone, but Dana was a wonderful host. (I would caution that there are a lot of stairs.) I thoroughly enjoyed the Inn.

My fiancée and I stayed here back in February 2022. We absolutely loved it. Such a cozy spot in the heart of Salem. If you are an alum or family member of a student at Roanoke College this is the place in town to stay. Cindy Lou is the best host and we look forward to coming back for another stay.

Our daughter was accepted to Roanoke College and we came in for a night just to tour the campus and area and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Cindy Lou was the absolute most amazing hostess. She was welcoming even though we were coming in late. She had heaters on, lights on, and she left us a wonderful note and a basket of goodies including HOMEMADE LEMON MUFFINS!!!!! My favorite. Over the phone as we were driving she asked about our coffee/tea preferences and we were more than perfectly accommodated. Thank you Cindy Lou!We’ll be back.
