Hampton Inn Salem

We stayed here on our way home after Thanksgiving. This is a very nice hotel with a spacious lobby area and a delicious breakfast. I enjoyed swimming that evening in the indoor pool. This appears to be a popular stop as the hotel parking lot was full by 10 pm. A large retail area is nearby. Many thanks to Libby who helped us resolve a booking issue when we arrived.

The experience was wonderful! Traveling on Christmas Day, we had low expectations, but were blown away with the friendly greeting from the front desk and his willingness to help. The rooms were clean and comfortable for sleeping, and breakfast was delicious!! Other Hampton Inns could learn a lot from this hotel!

Positive: Staff at the hotel were outstanding, and the continental breakfast was fabulous. Negative: A tee-shirt from the last occupant left in the bathroom.

Nice and clean, well appointed rooms with large bathrooms and queen sized beds. Great free breakfast that offers hot foods and cereals as well. Two elevators makes for speedy movement to your rooms. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Parking is more than ample with entrances to the building on all sides which is nice. Tv has good cable service and internet service is fast with ethernet in room. I easily recommend this hotel and rate it a 10 for facilities in this class. Happy Motoring!

Stopped here specifically on New Year's Eve with the grandchildren so they could swim in the indoor pool. Drove an extra hour for the pool. Get there and the pool is temporarily closed - my fault I should have called first before booking. Another issue was the price increased $10 for the room from the morning until the evening when I booked it. With the weather, I was concerned that we would get caught in snow and not be able to get to the location. Also, chose it for the pull-out couch so the two grandchildren did not have to sleep in the same bed. The mattress on the couch was super thin and you could feel the springs! Staff was super friendly when we arrived - breakfast was good! Spent more to stay here and we would have gotten the same for $50 less elsewhere - bummer!
