Days Inn by Wyndham Salem

The staff there were rude. For some reason this Days Inn made a management rule, not Wyndham rule, we could not eat the continental breakfast in our room. The person at the desk said they would charge us an extra $100 if we ate in our room. The reason was food attracted bugs. Yet, our room had a refrigerator & a microwave. I told him my Mom is handicapped and need to bring back the breakfast. He then said I could drive her up to the door. I said we had a dog & cat we didn't want to leave alone in the room. He said, "That's not my problem." When he called the manager on his personal cell phone and told him of my complaint of this "management" no food in room rule, he would not talk to me. The room was extremely dirty — the floor was dusty in every corner, as if it hadn’t been vacuumed. Towels were not sufficient for a two-night stay, which was very inconvenient.||||The front desk was rarely staffed, so it was nearly impossible to request any services or assistance. Additionally, the laundry room was in terrible condition. Both the washer and dryer were filthy to the point that I felt sick just looking at them. We ended up going to a local laundromat instead.||||Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I would not return, even if every other hotel in the area were sold out.

Staff was kind but room and lobby was absolutely disgusting. The walls were stained with all sorts of different things through room and lobby. Extremely strong smell coming from room. Lights didnt work in room. Stayed for less than 5 minutes before leaving. I tried to get a refund so I could stay elsewhere and was told no. Highly recommend spending the extra few dollars and making a reservation at one of the hotels down the street.

Super disappointed... the sheets and towels were clean, at least looked clean, but everything else was really disgusting... layer of dust of more than a month on clock, AC, and coffee maker. Fridge had sticky stuff on handle and spilled in the bottom. AC had a layer of dead bugs visible from the top... deep smell of smoke, though "non-smoking" room. I had to keep telling myself that I've chaperoned camp in a bunkhouse in order to make it... Bought some disinfectant and air cleaner...
