The Hotel Vervana at Bennington

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Cleanliness was a major issue throughout the property. The floors in the room had visible dirt and salt tracked in from outside, and the bathroom was not properly cleaned. There was hair in the drain, dirt on the shower and bathroom floor, and even cobwebs in the room. Mirrors and glass surfaces were streaky, which made it clear basic cleaning had been overlooked. The common areas were also in poor condition. The hallway floors and entry rugs were filthy with dirt and salt, and a mop bucket filled with dirty water was left propping open the hall door. There were also some concerning safety and maintenance issues. Wall shelves in the room were not securely fastened, and there was a spare cot stored behind a door at the top of the stair

Positive: Quiet area. Far from the street. Room was nice and looked recently renovated. Negative: The office area where you check in is not marked on the building. You have to get out of your car and determine which building it's in.

Perfect location, clean, spacious room, very affordable room rate but the best part of the stay is the staff. Richard from the minute we arrived made us feel so welcome and made sure our stay was enjoyable. The young lady and the gentleman from Florida at the front desk were welcoming and inviting as well. If ever back in Bennington will stay at the Verana.

We stayed here for the first time back in October. They are dog friendly. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room. I was able to walk my dog in the neighborhood behind the hotel. Just booked another stsy in a few weeks. So nice to know that while traveling with our dog, we can be sure of a clean safe place to stay

Very pleased with our stay here. The hotel is nice, quiet and comfortable. The room had both a jetted tub and it's own sauna, which were great. Front desk staff was excellent and very friendly. Location is convenient to lots of dining and shopping options. We'd definitely stay here again.
