Bennington Motor Inn

I called and made a booking, gave all my information, was told I successfully made a booking, and was told i'd receive a confirmation text. I did not receive the confirmation text after making the booking, so I called back the same day. They said the booking was made, they hadn't sent the text yet, and i'd receive it later. I called back several days later and was told they have no record of my booking. The hotel is also now full. I have no idea what happened here, but it seriously messed up my planned trip to the region. It seems this Inn has difficulties managing its bookings.

Our room was pretty. Nice wallpaper, paint, curtains, etc. The bathroom was nothing like the ones shown on the site. The shower was tiny, like travel trailer small. The fan was loud, as in worn out. The heat light was hanging on the wall with a large hole behind it, not properly installed. ||The outlets in the room did not work. I tried to plug my charger into all the outlets in the room and none felt like there was anything behind the plate. ||The AC is old and rattles. ||The beds are terrible! Terrible! Worth saying twice. ||They tried to make it pretty, but that doesn’t make for a good nights sleep. When you book a motel you spend most of your time in the room sleeping. I booked there because it was a little cheaper than comparable motels in the area, but yikes. The toilet wobbled when sitting on it and the room smelled of bad perfume like they were trying to cover up another smell.

Excellent location-an easy 5 minute walk to the Bennington Museum and downtown. Clean, comfortable room at an affordable price. I would definitely stay again.

I have read the other reviews. I was in the hotel business for over 30 years. You can't make everyone happy. Thin walls, bed awful. Blah blah blah. I thought this place was exceptional. Bed was comfortable. Even the bed linen smelled good. It's very well kept. I loved the decor. Great customer service and definitely worth the stay. Will be back.
