Starlight Inn

I was pretty excited about this place, based on n the reviews. Thought we found a real gem. The room itself, great. It's clean and a good room for just what we were needing, which was a place to sleep while we were exploring the area. However, we didn't get much sleep. The bed was EXTREMELY hard! Like, I've never slept on this hard of a mattress. Everything else would have been just great. I'm glad we only booked it for 2 nights. I really didn't know they even made mattresses this hard.

Dog friendly place, extra fee of course. Place is outdated but rooms were clean. TV, microwave, and mini fridge in rooms were clean and in good condition. Heater/air conditioner seemed very new. Good part: it was easy to find. Bad part: mildew in tiled shower; bed was soft. Exercise area is at Lobby with two machines. There is small sitting area in Lobby also. Had Wifi, coffee maker, and place to hang or store luggage.

Great price. Cute and tidy room but it smelled very stale. The bathtub looked like it had never been cleaned. Spring mattress is very firm. The perfect location for all things in and around Bennington. Would recommend for one short night.

Absolutely Disgusting – Avoid at All Costs This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was filthy and reeked of an unbearable odor—I came home and immediately washed everything that had been exposed to this place. The so-called “fitness center” was a joke: a dusty, ancient treadmill and what looked like the first rowing machine ever made. Completely misleading. Room service? I wouldn’t dare find out. The bathroom was the most revolting part of the entire stay—grimy, moldy, and clearly neglected for a long time. The owners should be absolutely ashamed of the condition of this property. I would stay there again and again very nice down to earth kind of place. This is my bandit he's enjoying his self. Rooms are nice and cozy and the property is beautiful. Just a few minutes to town.
