Customer Reviews
Overall this was a positive experience and stay. We loved the history and unique & quirky feel of this boutique hotel. We were particularly fond of hanging out in the common spaces- the front two rooms are amazing & since our stay was during the coldest part of winter (so far),we appreciated hanging out by the fireplace. We also enjoyed the bar area downstairs. Breakfast was simple but a variety of choices and coffee was good. Location can’t be beat! There are some things to critique. I selected an add on birthday package for my husband and expected this would be in our suite upon arrival. It was not. Our TV’s were also not working. I had to go downstairs and ask about the package and request help for the TV’s. We had an early dinner reservation, so by the time we returned, these issues h
We have made it an annual trip to come to Portsmouth Hotel! We absolutely love it there! Last year they did not have the bar open in the basement but this year they did and it did not disappoint! A great place to gather and meet new people. We will forever stay at this cozy Inn while visiting Portsmouth. Also the staff were amazing, patient and kind! Amazing warm people. Thanks for the great visit yet again!
Gorgeous building with tons of character and comfortable sitting rooms and speakeasy bar to explore. 24 hour kitchen for guest use and complimentary delicious fresh breakfast buffet. Very close to all the main attractions (walking, just a few blocks) but honestly you don't even need to leave the hotel. We lucked into an amazing third floor master suite with a separate sitting room and bathroom on the lower level and a huge upper level bedroom with chandelier and claw foot soaking tub bathroom. We were definitely spoiled!
Positive: *Nice and Clean !! / *Help was Friendly and helpful / *Breakfast was Fresh and Delicious Negative: ""
What an amazing historic hotel! Beautiful sitting rooms, gorgeous woodwork throughout. Easily walkable to local shopping and eateries. Rooms were well appointed and clean. The speakeasy on the bottom floor was a cozy place to enjoy a cocktail, relax or play some billiards. The staff was the best part. Warm welcomes from the moment we stepped in. Kudos to Allison for the great conversation, sharing the properties history and a few ghost stories, along with dinner recommendations! Owen checked us in and was a pleasure. Brandon the on site manager also welcomed us and was a pleasure to speak with. Upon our departure a tall gentleman with housekeeping noticed us taking our luggage out of the room and offered his assistance getting them to the car! I hope our travels bring us back to
