The Davenport Inn

We had a really nice stay at Davenport Inn. The rooms are minimal on decorations which I love. Beautiful furniture and marble bathrooms are amazing. Beds might be the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. And we’ve stayed at many five star hotels..Even made note of the sheet manufacturers so I could get the same sheets for home! Great location although we were there for only one night and it was the dead of winter so didn’t really have a chance to walk around.. walked to the Library restaurant which was also really good!! Son left blanket behind and was mailed back to us! Will definitely stay here again when in the area..

Outstanding attention to detail every corner of the room and loved the refreshments. Loves walking downtown and having a cozy place to go back to after a wonderful dinner at the Library Restaurant. Best place to stay even if you live in NH!

My husband and I had a perfect weekend at the Davenport Inn. Our room was sparkling clean and the bathroom was extraordinary. I loved the extra special touches like fresh flowers, bottled water and treats. The location was perfect as we were able to leave our car at the hotel and walk to our destinations.

Great place to go for a romantic getsway. Great location in Portsmouth. Room was spacious, a lot of attention paid to the small details. I liked how information was provided about history of the inn and the Portsmouth area. Easy walking distance to fine dining and Portsmouth downtown. Will go again and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Portsmouth!

Everything from check-in to check-out was seamless, and the owners truly go above and beyond to provide a great experience. The location is ideal — just a short walk to downtown Portsmouth, restaurants, shops, and the waterfront, while still being on a quieter street. We’d highly recommend The Davenport to anyone visiting Portsmouth!
