Hampton Inn & Suites Portsmouth Downtown

From pulling up to the valet, to check in, to the rooms, EVERYTHING was GREAT! The gentleman that was working the valet was extremely nice and helpful, I wish I would've gotten his name to give him a shout out. And Sabir at the front desk was AWESOME! He is very professional and enthusiastic, thank you Sabir! Also the house keeper did a fantastic job and when we got into our room it was spotless! Thank you Jessica! (Found her name on a note by the TV). And before I forget, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! This hotel is near EVERYTHING! So many places to eat and shop within walking distance.

Went for a quick weekend getaway. Sabir at front desk was so welcoming. You don’t have to valet, as other reviews claim, but you don’t save anything by pulling around the corner to a parking garage yourself. Clean but note that they don’t clean room daily which we weren’t aware of. I’m sure we overlooked that. We only had 2 towels for 2 people with a 2 night stay. They delivered more but that was a little disappointing. We found it less expensive than the Sheraton and a better location. We’ll definitely return.

Excellent stay! Room and bathroom were very clean. Made a request for top floor($10 extra) and adjoining room with our children. Both honored. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was thankfully extremely quiet! We also brought our dog. An extra $75 is steep but market value. Of the five hotels in this immediate area, this one has been the most pleasant. Will be my first choice next time.

We've stayed at this hotel numerous times and have always had a wonderful experience. The location is walking distance to everything Downtown Portsmouth has to offer. The staff is always personable and welcoming especially Dan who couldn't have been more friendly during our check in. We'll continue to frequent this hotel anytime we are in Portsmouth. Highly recommend!
