The Historic Griffin Hotel

Older building that has been renovated. There were some dead hornets on the floor and you can see where they used foam sealant to make an attempt to cover several entry points. Our corner room had two big windows plus another one in the bathroom. This is a plus! Able to let fresh air in the room but there's no screens on these windows. No microwave in the room but the very nice folks at front desk let us use the main microwave in their little kitchen. The rooms are more like a huge bedroom vs a regular hotel room (we had the king bed). I asked for and quickly received a small table so I could work remote. They also have a small free continental breakfast. Nice place based on location and asthetics but based on functionality and space I would prefer a regular hotel

Beautiful stay in the heart of downtown Griffin! Walking distance to great food and shops. The decor is beautiful - the ceilings are gorgeous! Solomon greeted us on arrival with a friendly smile and wonderful hospitality. We sat in the comfortable mezzanine and listened as he mastered the piano in the lobby. The room was as pictured. Small but comfortable. The tv channels don't all pick up but that didn't matter to us. The mattress was fine. Linens comfortable but the pillows seems cheap and squeaky. As others mentioned, the exhaust fan in the bathroom is loud and not optional if you want the light on. Being an old building, we could hear people in the hall faintly. (Not unexpected) In the morning, there was yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, boiled eggs, coffee meat and cheese. Morning staff

What a beautifully renovated hotel! The rooms were a perfect blend of modern and historic. I stayed over with my son on a road trip and I'm so happy I discovered this gem. I always stay in older renovated hotels and this is now one of my favorites. Will stay again.

HGH is an absolutely stunning hotel! They have done a great job with the interior and exterior to give it a nostalgic and elegant feel. Upon checking in, the front desk staff were nothing short of amazing and extremely helpful. Solomon went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed and provided the details for location of my room, continental breakfast and how to get in touch if there were any questions. I was privileged to attend a conference held at HGH and again, there was no shortage of support from the staff. The ballroom where our conference was housed exuded charm and elegance. The Ballroom provides modern conveniences such as plenty of electrical outlets and projector screen. I can see how the room could be converted for several uses with it's gleaming gold and brill

We recently held our company conference at The Historic Griffin Hotel, and it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The staff and management were extremely helpful, attentive, and a joy to work with; they made every detail run smoothly. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of charm and character, with rooms that perfectly blend history and comfort. It’s a truly special place, and we couldn’t have asked for a better setting for our event. Highly recommend!
