Customer Reviews
We just stayed at The Garlands Motel and I can’t stop thinking about how perfect it was for our family. Each unit is privately owned, so they all have their own style — ours had 2 bedrooms, a pull-out couch, and a kitchenette with a stove/oven, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, and a mini fridge with freezer. It honestly had most of what you’d need to cook (we mostly did snacks + sandwiches), and we even had puzzles and games in our unit which was such a fun bonus. The bedrooms also had space to hang up our stuff, so we could actually unpack. The BEST part though… direct beach access. Like steps from the room to the sand. When the kids needed naps, we could literally walk back up without packing up the whole beach. Total game changer. There are also two public beaches you can walk to on e
I was in heaven when I checked in. This place is perfect. Sunsets and sun rises are great. You can hear the waves with door open. I will return. I am a beach person and this is the first place I can say it has a good vibe. One can always find a negative in a place but this is a hidden Gem.
We have been going to the Garlands every year since 2017. We love how peaceful it is, and how friendly everyone is. It is located at a great spot on the cape. We enjoy walking around the area, and feel safe doing so. The views are beautiful. Staff is friendly. Since we are return guests, we’ve have the opportunity to see continuous improvements over the years. Kitchen upgrades, bed upgrades, outside chairs, etc.
All in all it does have beautiful views. Not recommended though if you have an issue with stairs. There are a lot of stairs - to get up to upper level rooms and then to also get to what is described as a beach.. only in low tide. The google search says private patios/balconies. Maybe should be described more like semiprivate. Your entrance is separated by a lattice style stonework, but you can still share the wonderful - not- experience of your neighbors smoking weed at all hours of the evening/night, as well as chatting moletwly heading the conversations . There is no management/staff onsite after a couple hours in the morning to monitor guests. And let’s face it, not everyone acts like adults. The showers have windows in them that show basically from neck up. Some have frosted windows, m
Very nice. On the small side but adequate with a kitchenette. Nice view of the ocean. Beds and pillows were comfy. Tim left the key out for our late arrival. Highly recommend.
