Doryman Motel

I love this place! This is just a simple motel that with nothing fancy but David and chu-chu are a friendly and a pleasure to be around. The service is great and within walking distance to the beach and one of the best ice cream shops on the island... Definitely a hidden treasure!!!

Another trip to the States to fish for striped bass saw us stay at our favourite motel on the Cape, The Doryman. We were met by Dave, the owner, who is more like an old friend to us now. He always has fresh coffee available and there's an ice machine for your G&T's. |The rooms are always clean and well enough equipped for our two week stay. The showers are excellent, the beds comfortably, and a big fridge to store any food within. We had to use the heaters for the first couple of days as the weather was a little unsettled. |As we are British, we get Dave to fly the Union flag on one of his flag poles throughout our stay which is a nice touch and must cause some talk among the locals. The British are coming, the British are coming!||Many thanks Dave, see you next year.

The Doryman Motel is in convenient location that's perfect for easy access to nearby stores. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, reliable WiFi, and very welcoming and friendly staff. This was a quiet and pleasant stay, I plan on booking here again.

Down to earth and unpretentious, even without the beautiful swimming pool this would still be a great place to stay... A 5-minute walk from the beach (saving you $35 a day beach parking), and about 7 minutes walking in the other direction to the Sundae School. Owners are as nice as can be and very accommodating. The Doryman is a true gem.

We stayed in this place a couple of times and liked it. Good location, large rooms, chatty owner. However, we will never stay there again after September 2021, when the rude owner (same person) sent me an insulting email, after I asked to fix a light in our room that didn’t work. If all is fine in your room, you may be lucky. If not, the owner’s response would be to say you something nasty followed by “If you are not happy, leave!”. There also was a musty smell in the room during that stay.
