The Crossroads Hotel - Newburgh

I don't know what these other people are talking about but I don't see anything wrong with these rooms. Yeah it has some stains on the carpet but other than that it's good. The rooms are clean and it'svery quiet. I'm glad it has truck parking in the back as well. Also the last at the front desk was nice and let us check in early. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We checked in late on a Friday and the night staff were pleasant, we headed up to our room on the second floor. The first thing I noticed was the smell of cigarettes and pot. We went to our room and went to sleep. In the am we noticed some dried blood on the chair cushion, not really a small amount either. We flipped the cushion and went downstairs to get coffee. We asked Kathy the front desk woman where we could get coffee (it was 7:05 am), to which she replied- I just got on shift, you’re gonna have to wait a few minutes, I just got here. My husband and I looked at each other and left to go find a diner. Around 8:30am my adult kids were arriving with our grandbabies in tow, upon one of our daughters asking for the location of the elevator Kathy began an interrogation and made our daughte

This was a horrible experience. I had to change rooms 2 times before deciding to get a full refund and driving 2 hours back home. First look was deceiving, looked so nice and clean. I was given a room on the third floor, I go up and the room is occupied by people. I go back down to the reception desk and they give me a second room. I go back up to the room, the hallway is so musty, the elevator and hallway smell like cigarettes and weed, the hallway has a entire wall that has severe water damage, the door to the room was stuck and had to push it open, the room smelled very musty, the curtains and walls had stains, I go to turn in the AC unit and there is a live roach on it. I check the bathroom and there is another roach in the toilet bowl. I then went back downstairs to request a refund.

I just needed a place to stop in the middle of the Thruway to rest and then continue driving in the morning. No noise issues. The outside of the building looked nice and promising, but then you had the interior. Reception desk was surrounded by Covid era plexiglass and a small slot to pass items through. Not welcoming or inviting at all. There seemed to be a tatoo enthusiast companion parked in a chair to the side of reception. Not a good look. The ceiling in my hallway had horrible water damage all throughout, along with plaster pieces adorning the walls and floors. The place had a "Two Star" vibe to it (at best). It is what it is, but don't advertise on Hotwire as a three star hotel. I pay a little extra for three star, even if its for one night just to avoid a bad experience. We didn't

Positive: Location Negative: This is straight-up migrant housing. I think we were the only paying customers. Should not be on a hotel listing for travelers. Dirty floors, broken hallway lights, no actual food. Our door number was written in Sharpie. Place smelled like a skunk.
