Howard Johnson by Wyndham Newburgh/West Point

Me and my family was in non smoking room and floor but it wreaks of smoke everywhere. No cups or bucket for ice. The door in bathroom locks you in. One complimentary small soap for the family. Some one described this run down hotel a shelter. I can't comment on bathroom because we refuse to shower it appears clean. The room is not well lit. The hotel hallway smells like pot. Or whatever someone is smoking when we left. Highly not recommended

Positive: Staff were very friendly. Work desk excellent, good number of outlets, and the bed comfortable. Negative: The TV was ancient.

If I could give this place a zero star trust me I would. All employees lie they’ll tell you that you will get your deposit back after your toilet floods at 4 am putting the blame on you. Then they will try to barge into the room while you may not be dressed for people and argue with you up and down. On top of all that the room smelt like there’s been cats in there and the shower was already previously damage. Highly do not recommend anywhere else is better.

Courney at front desk was extremely friendly (should be promoted to manager if not already). John was too. All the rooms were booked. There was this other guy that looked Indian was just rude and looks like every word coming out of a guests' mouth offended his face. Breakfast was just bagels and cream cheese along with Nature Valley hard granola bars and you'll be lucky if one of the days you get the cheap packaged Daisy pastries. For over $200 a night, at least the room & bathroom feels clean but very outdated system. Overheard another guest complaining about their toilet. Stay served what I needed which is just mostly cleanliness. Watch out for the dents in the stairs at night though - saw a guest trip with luggage.

Great location. Clean. Best deal in downtown Lake George.||The breakfast is just a granola bar, juice and coffee, and the room is small, but I highly recommend it for the budget traveler.
