Super 8 by Wyndham Newburgh/West Point Near Stewart Airport

Really gross. Blood on the walls of the bathroom. Bugs under the bed. People up talking all night. Rug was sticky. Sheets looked clean but that was about it. Checked in around 930 PM and left early at 4 AM after getting nearly no sleep. ||Hotel appears to be used for some large group of peoples long term stay. Not sure what it is about but the hotel is really gross as a result and has overflowing trash and stuff even in the hallways. Additionally it is questionably unsafe as the entry doors in the back are taped over so they don't latch so anyone can get in the hotel.

First off, the hotel team should not take it personally, nice people working there. The company should be ashamed. When I see a 2 star inexpensive hotel, to me it means basic accommodations, nothing extra and bare amenities, but bottom line clean. but in this case you get a completely run down lodging, so 2 stars is not about what's offered, it's the condition it's in. It needs repairs and remodeling big time. Carpets are gross, floor underneath them is bumpy, smell from AC was un!!bearable, like dirty socks meet vomit smell (anybody heard of cleaning the filter?), many things stained, broken, cracked, peeling etc. Sticky tables, mold in the bathroom, where silicone was missing. breakfast consisted of coffee with no milk and granola bars. Beds are fine, linens decent, did not see any pests

Positive: nothing Negative: Upon arriving I was told the computer was down and I needed to write down all of my credit card info so they could charge me a $75 deposit. The room was filthy, the furniture was badly stained. We slept in our clothes and checked out the next day

Absolutely disgusting place. The room stank of cigarettes, mold, and old, dirty air from the ancient AC. The whole place felt filthy and neglected. We even saw cockroaches and stink bugs crawling around. Curtains looked like they hadn’t been washed in decades, and everything just felt grimy. The bathroom barely worked — the water pressure was on and off, so you couldn’t even shower normally. Honestly, I didn’t feel comfortable touching anything in the room. This hotel is a nightmare — dirty, smelly, and crawling with bugs. Do yourself a favor and stay far away.

This place commits scams customers!||In August, the front desk clerk told me to give a cash deposit. Said it would be “easier and better” than a credit card. I never got it back. I had to leave for a flight in the morning and everyone at the front desk was conveniently gone for 30 minutes. Manager Casey Lomax said he’d send it to me, never received anything. When I called him out on it, he got standoffish and accusatory and told me I was threatening him and then hung up on me. I’d assume my cash as well as other innocent guests is in his pockets. He never provided a tracking number. Never sent it. ||STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Report any issues to Wyndham corporate. This is a franchise and they will lose their license.
