The Brass Key Guesthouse

We stayed at Brass Key Guesthouse for one night and absolutely loved the character and quirkiness of the hotel. The property is beautiful, the hot tub was great, and our room was very comfortable. It really is a charming place with a lot of personality. Because it was off-season, breakfast wasn’t being served onsite and instead was offered at their sister property, Crowne Pointe. This wasn’t an issue for us as it’s only a short walk away, but the experience there unfortunately didn’t match the quality of our stay at Brass Key. When we arrived, the breakfast area at Crowne Pointe was chaotic and the host was extremely rude, to the point we almost walked out. To be completely fair, once things quieted down he came over, apologised for his attitude, and explained he was struggling to handle

The Brass Key exceeded my expectations when it came to atmosphere, service, and charm. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a place like it. The warm cozy fire in the lobby, aka Shipwreck Lounge, provided the perfect backdrop for casual conversations with new friends. Don’t be fooled, Saturday night the place filled up with over 100 Ptown bar goers. The contrast between peaceful elegance and vibrant Ptown scene is mastered beautifully. Almost any vantage point on the property makes a perfect photo op and is well considered with meticulously chosen plants, seasonal decorations, flags, and nautical themes. Stayed at the Brass Key Guesthouse for two weekday nights this week. What a great stay…!!! Kevin’s Welcome and Tour from the Front Desk was very accommodating and helpful. Room was suburb. Dale was very accommodating during their excellent breakfast. And Kate served my family well as bartender of The Shipwreck Lounge, a great space to relax and have drinks with family and friends. Highly recommend staying here whenever you are in Provincetown, on-season or off-season.

The staff at the reception were nice and friendly. However, the breakfast was just okay; they need to offer something different every day. We put the tag out to request cleaning for our room, but no one came to clean it.

What a fabulous time we had at the Brass Key! My partner and I were down for the holiday weekend, and could not have been more pleased with the accommodations and service. There are many nice hotels and inns in Ptown, but the Brass Key is very special and has so many amenities, including a lovely pool and a full breakfast included! It’s dog-friendly (or several of their rooms are), which is important to us, and the inn even has bikes you can use during your stay. Even if you don’t use the bikes, though, the Brass Key is on a great location, walking distance to everything. What really makes the place great, though, is the staff…everyone is so kind and helpful.
