I needed a getaway close to home (WV) and I just happened to find this gem with a Google search. It's peaceful and relaxing. I went on a 3 hour walk this morning to see the plantation and the historic sites on property. Absolutely beautiful and an easy walk/hike through the tobacco fields. Then I came to the warm indoor pool. I haven't tried the sauna yet, but I will. I'm heading to brunch now. My room service meal was delicious so I can just imagine how delicious it will be. Last night I traveled around the mansion and headed to the library bar for food. Lindsay made a wonderful blood orange mule...must try! Food was great there too.
Wonderful venue, lovely grounds, historical, beautiful setting for weddings.
