The Berry Hill Resort & Conference Center

This is a wonderful hidden gem!!! Everything was so beautiful. Our first time but not our last. No other hotel in South Boston Va can hold a candle to The Berry Hill Hotel & Conference Center. We have been to all of the other hotels & this is by far the best. Customer service was amazing! Thank you all so much!!

We celebrated a wedding at this venue. I cannot say one bad thing!!! Everything was 5 star. The Darby Tavern was my favorite. The food was spot on and the service was top notch. The staff were always as pleasant and helpful as they could be. The views were spectacular and grounds were very well maintained. The history tidbits placed randomly made you go back in time as to how the country lived hundreds of years ago. I recommend this venue 100% and would love to go back for things such as Murder Mystery Night

My partner and I booked a stay here this past weekend to celebrate my birthday and Valentine’s Day. I’ll start with the positives. We discovered this property last year after visiting a nearby distillery and I booked our birthday stay well in advance. The grounds are absolutely beautiful — a tree-lined driveway straight that looks straight out of a magazine, scenic hiking trails with old ruins, and true quiet. We walked for miles without seeing anyone. It was peaceful and perfect for unplugging. The spa, heated pool, and saunas were a big draw, and the rooms have a lovely historic charm. The staff was friendly upon arrival, and Amy in the spa was wonderful. Unfortunately, there were some major disappointments. On our first evening, the pool and sauna area clearly hadn’t been maintained.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are quite large and there's plenty of food options. We didn't stop for continental breakfast, instead we had brunch in the mansion. Brunch was very good and our server was hospitable, and prompt. I had a massage at the spa and a refresher nail service. Prices were reasonable. We would stay here again.

We could not have chosen a more perfect place for our destination wedding than The Berry Hill Resort and Convention Center. Our planning journey began nine months before the big day. After touring several venues in the Richmond area and feeling underwhelmed, we discovered Berry Hill—two hours away, but absolutely worth the drive.
