Clarion Pointe South Boston - Danville East

Stayed at this property last week and was extremely pleased with my stay. Front desk staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable. I’m not much on breakfast but decided to go down and check it out. Breakfast was hot and had many different items to choose from and what I ate was good. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to my friends and family.

First of all, we are choice rewards customers when I pulled it up to book a room it said $87. We wound up spending 124 so we got no perks for being a choice rewards customer at all and then when we get there, we noticed there’s a lot of working men in trucks staying there and I’m sure they did not pay top dollar like we had to. It was very disappointing. The beds were comfortable. The food was great, but the price for being a rewards customer I thought was a little high.

Positive: The fact that they said they would give a fully refund (that I still haven’t received) Negative: Literally covered in black mold, air was thick with mold so much that it was hard to breathe. The humidity in the room was enough that the lamps were rusting. There were spider webs around the room.

This hotel is very conveniently located close to everything the town has to offer. Breakfast is nice. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Check in was smooth. Staff was pleasant and courteous.

The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The lobby was clean, and the rooms was clean and spacious. It had a nice big breakfast area and lobby area. There was plenty of parking and was also close to restaurants.
