The Berkshire Mountain Inn

Our stay was fantastic! The hospitality was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The location is just a short walk to downtown, where you’ll find great food and drinks, along with charming shops featuring local goods. If you love the mountains, Ski Butternut is also close by, which is a huge bonus. The history of the building is an amazing story in itself and adds so much character to the experience. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Overall, we had an incredible stay and would absolutely recommend it!

If you are visiting the Berkshires, stay here! We stayed at the Berkshire Mountain Inn during a snowy winter weekend and it was everything you would hope for. Location: The location cannot be beat. With Ski Butternut just minutes away, family and friends can enjoy a day cruising a kid-friendly mountain. After a day on the slopes, head back to the inn for a quick reset and then pop out the front door for a walk into town for dinner. We recommend Number 10 for a hearty meal. There are a handful of charming shops and cafes to visit as well. The Inn: the inn itself is expansive in the best way. Every time you wander down a hallway or around a corner, you discover something new. We stayed in a spacious, well-appointed room on the first level. The bones of the building are quite historic (apparently this place predates the Declaration of Independence!) but everything has been updated recently and it feels modern in the right ways. The beds were very comfortable and we particularly appreciated the cozy common spaces for reading and catching up with our fellow travelers. It’s a short walk into downtown GB with lots of shopping and restaurants. We also had a quick drive to some great skiing at Butternut. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We had the most wonderful weekend at this charming Inn- could not recommend it enough! We came up to great barrington to enjoy the winter weather and go snowboarding at Butternut- and the Berkshire Mountain Inn was so beautiful and cozy! Stunning architecture and cool history of the house itself- very comfy bed to relax and recover in from my snowboarding falls haha. Staff was friendly and available for anything we needed! I enjoyed sipping tasty coffee in the beautiful dinning room in the mornings, and after a day out in the snow enjoyed warming up by the cozy fire in the living room. The location was also incredibly convenient - we could walk right into the down town area to grab dinner! We will definitely be rebooking here!!
