The Benson Portland, Curio Collection by Hilton

Super friendly and clean hotel. Evening dinner was amazing service and well prepared foods. Top notch servers deserving of an exceptional tip. Lots to do nearby and easy walk. My trip was a cross-country sleeper train experience (nice experience) plus Oregon was the 48th state for me to visit! A Hilton Hotel, wow from the valet parking to check out first class all the way nicely appointed lobby, very friendly desk clerks and the room, wow. We could have thrown a 20 person party and not been crowded. Absolutely clean. Bright. Comfortable and a really happy place to be. They have a bar and a restaurant as well as snacks in the lobby and canned cocktails to go. Breakfast looked good too

I highly recommend the Benson, especially during the holiday season. Everything is so festive, with entertainment at night. The lobby is so warm and inviting, with plenty of comfy seating and areas away from busy spots for quiet conversation. The rooms are beautiful, clean and updated. The staff is so professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They are always accessible and ready to assist. I also really enjoyed the fitness room - along with the usual treadmills, machines and free weights, there's a nice yoga-type studio to spread out a mat and use rollers and fitness balls. We stayed at Benson in downtown Portland to enjoy a night out for Christmas holiday with family. We walked around downtown, did a little shopping,went out to dinner, enjoyed Blazers game, and enjoyed cocktail in the hotel lobby before going up to our rooms. Check out was noon which gave us plenty of time to enjoy our breakfast at Screen Door before checking out. Hotel lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious and comfortable. There are a lot of nice restaurants and shopping within a short walk. Downtown streets were clean and we felt safe walking around at night. We will definitely choose Benson again next time when we are in town
