The Barnacle Inn

Very quaint inn that is perfectly located near the historic downtown. Close enough to be walkable to everything, bus stops, etc but not too close to have significant nightlife sounds while trying to sleep. The rooms are simple, historic, and very clean. Amazing breakfast spread served on a tray every morning. The owners are very kind and can give great local recommendations. Finally…no inn is complete without a resident dog. Their Bernese Mountain Dog is always around to greet the guests

We had the most wonderful stay at the Barnacle Inn, made extra memorable by Suzie and Phil’s kindness and hospitality. The space is so inviting and charming, and perfectly central to everything. We especially loved being able to enjoy their front garden for coffee and breakfast in the morning and wine and star gazing at night. Highly recommend!

The Barnacle Inn is a true treasure! I had a fantastic stay and took full advantage of relaxing in the garden & the close proximity to downtown. I opted for a single bed with private bath. My room and bed were very comfortable, the continental breakfast always included freshly baked pastries, fresh fruit, cheese, & yogurt. The location is fantastic, the rooms are comfortable, but the best part is the staff. The Inn Keepers, Suzie & Phil are absolutely terrific! They are so friendly, accommodating, and have all the recommendations you ask for. I felt like I was visiting my favorite Aunt & Uncle! I highly recommend staying at the Barnacle Inn!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place definitely deserves one ! I can’t say enough about the barnacle in, Susie at the front desk was so accommodating. I asked for a quiet room tucked away from everyone, our room was super clean, quiet, comfortable, customer service here was top-notch. Susie was full of recommendations of where to go, what to see, where to eat, etc. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Massachusetts! Can’t wait! Thank you for making our stay fabulous !

We celebrated Jen's 52nd birthday at this wonderful inn. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with chocolate chip cookies and a beautiful note. Suzie took the time to place a special card on our door when we returned from a dinner celebration. The breakfast and hospitality were second to none. The inn is in a perfect location to walk to everything! Sit out front and enjoy the beautiful gardens on the property. Relax and enjoy the scenery!! It will be our home away from home when visiting the island and will invite our friends! Thank you for the experience!! Ray and Jen
