21 Broad Hotel

We stayed here for one night, and considering the $370 price for the room, our experience was absolutely unacceptable: 1. The room was on the ground floor and unbearably noisy. 2. The heater didn’t work properly, and the maintenance guy was extremely rude when we called. They make it seem like you can control the temperature, but you actually can’t. 3. Breakfast was pretty disgusting. There was MOLD on the strawberries, and it was obvious that the muffins and boiled eggs were at least 2–3 days old. The boiled eggs, in particular, felt like eating golf balls. For the price we paid, this level of neglect is shocking. At the very least, they should ensure the food isn’t expired before serving it. We stayed at the Swain House (19 broad) as part of a large friends group. 1st and foremost- a comfortable bed! Wonderful location - close to everything downtown. The rooms closer to the street side can be noisy from the street scene. If possible, reserve the rooms on the back side of the house where we were! Great people watching on the porch and a gathering place for friends. Love the delicious continental breakfast, the ice cream social/ cookies in the afternoon, and the cocktail mixers. Great staff. Room service every day which is not a given these days in other inns/hotels. It’s our 3rd year in this hotel and we love it every year.

We stayed at 21 Broad this week and didn’t want to leave! The location downtown is excellent. It is near numerous shops and restaurants. The building itself is wonderful and the decor was beautiful without being stuffy. The staff is amazing! They couldn’t have been more helpful. And the patio out back was a really nice place for some sun or drinks. We would definitely stay at 21 Broad again!

I believe you cant find a better place in Nantucket in terms of location, price, service, rooms and amenities. The staff is super attentive even before they welcome you in the facility and then throughout the period you would reside there. Can't recommend this place enough.

Rooms and location are almost perfect. The people at the frying seat were exceptional. My only slight Complaint was the shower in our room was tiny and we are not big people. But it worked fine and we would stay here again!
