SureStay Plus by Best Western Humble

This hotel was basic but felt clean with a decent size room. The furniture is very basic but appeared to be in good shape. The room had a microwave and refrigerator which we appreciated. The cons were constant road noise and for us personally the bed was not the most comfortable. Biggest disappointment was the wheelchair accessible room we requested. The placement of the shower door had the door opening next to the toilet which prevented a wheelchair from reaching the shower opening. The shower was not accessible to anyone using a wheelchair. We had requested a wheelchair accessible shower which the hotel had said they could provide but this one clearly was not usable

My first and most recent stay at SureStay (near Houston's main airport) had a bit of a rough start, but was overall redeemed by the stellar customer service provided by "Joe" from the front desk. I'll admit, although the hotel had a high rating as opposed to comparable hotels in it's low price range, I was still a bit skeptical *because* of it's affordability and proximity to the highway. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, Joe showed nothing short of kindness and professionalism. I checked-in quite late after driving for more than 3 hours on the I-10 as well as through the brutal Houston traffic, so I was exhausted. Joe made checking-in pleasant and swift.
