Comfort Suites Humble Houston IAH

We stayed at this particular hotel the weekend of Feb 14th because it was close to the venue of an event we were attending. The service provided by the clerk at the front desk was warm and welcoming. Sadly, things went down from there. There were only 2 tissues in the tissue box and no hand soap. It gets worse ... the shower was dirty with black marks along the bottom. I requested another but they were unable to accommodate my request because they had no vacant rooms. Our reservation was a "non-refundable" one so we were stuck. We had to make other arrangements for showering during our visit. Our 2nd night there, the elevator was broken and we had to walk up three flights of stairs. Needless to say, we won't book this location again - even if the event venue is held in the meeting room

This hotel is great. The staff is always super nice and accommodating. Pam, Abby, and the lady that does the breakfast always make sure that I am taken care of. They go out of their way to make sure that my room is up to standard and the I’m happy. Yesterday the breakfast lady made sure that I got link sausages for breakfast because she knew I liked them and I was coming for them. She didn’t have to do that and that’s what I call hospitality! A+ from me!

Positive: Great breakfast, good location, Negative: Toilet backed up and there was no attempt to fix the situation. No TV remote in fitness room. Additional "hotel fees" added to my bill over and above quoted price.

This turned out to be one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. The staff were always attentive and kind, especially Pam, the Manager. A few small issues came up on my end, yet she handled them with grace and even made me laugh through it all. She has a special way of making people feel seen, valued, and respected. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh every morning, and the coffee was always hot. Most of all, my daughters felt safe and relaxed, which meant everything to me.

Over priced everything. $3.99 just because fee when you check in. $4 for a 16.9 oz soda there at the counter. $100 hold on card for 7 days. All of this is more than when I stay at a 4 star + hotel. Towels looked dingy and crispy. Couch in room was very used looking/stains. Ironing board was broke and wouldn't stand up. Cable kept going out. Bed was comfortable and woman at front desk at check in was friendly.
