Super 8 by Wyndham Valdosta Mall

I enjoyed my stay here. I checked the bed to ensure there were no bugs and inspected my room upon arrival. Overall, the room was okay. There was a bit of grime in the bathroom, but it was clean. The AC/Heater was incredibly loud and kept me awake at times during my week stay. There were also individuals smoking marijauna outside of my room and the neighbors were VERY loud. I had to call front desk to quiet them down, but they didn't hesitate to do so. If I dont have my children, I'd come back, but with kids - I wouldn't want them around that.

I don't get the plethora of 1 star reviews. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, every thing was in good condition, the bathroom was comfortable and looked fairly new, everything worked, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was cold continental type fare. Furniture was looking a bit worn but not bad. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy access to freeway. Overall, excellent for a budget motel. So what is with the low ratings? It's a competitive market and I wonder if some of the competition is in play. Or maybe they are renovating and we got a renovated room. But we'll make a point to look for this Super 8 again next time we pass through.

I wanted somewhere we could lay our heads for the night that accepted pets (specifically a cat) while traveling. Initially, I thought I had contacted the hotel’s reservation call center for the chain. However, upon arriving at the location, I learned I had spoken to someone from a third party located 'anywhere in the world.' I mentioned to the attendant that I assumed I had reached the central reservation center based on the hotel’s website, to which they replied that I had not. Why was this even a topic of discussion you ask? Let me enlighten you. When she gave me the paperwork to sign, I noticed my address was listed as being in DUBAI!! I wondered about that, and she said I could've been calling anyone anywhere to make my reservation and they just put any address which is why she needed

Positive: Shower worked ok. Negative: Very close to the highway. Noisy all night. Very old needs to be upgraded. Things broken in room. No coffee pot in room. Arrived about an hour early room was ready. Hotel wanted to charge me $25 for early checkin. Their continental breakfast was a joke.

Rooms were Clean. Lobby and brkfst were also clean. Everything updated :Bathrooms, shower, bed, flooring, (some patched painting on ceiling, but clean) Breakfast was minimal but ok. Staff was courteous. Very fair price for quick stay.
