The old saying is you get what you pay for. I was looking for a cheap hotel near someone I was visiting and I definitely found one. This place is definitely run down. The elevator had well ground in grime and the 3rd floor button was from another elevator. There was a clock in the room and one on the microwave, neither could be set and I had to unplug the clock since it was flashing. The staff that serviced my room were great, but the desk help wasn't, hence the 3 star rating.

🚫THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE - STAY AWAY!!!🚫 My recent stay at this property was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I entered the room, I was hit with the stench of cigarette smoke and urine — clearly masked by a car air freshener (yes, the kind you hang from a rearview mirror) dangling from a wall hook. That was their “solution” to the foul odor. I’ve attached a photo for proof. The bathroom was even worse — hazardous mold conditions all around the ceiling and walls, as my photos clearly show. The shower curtain rod was poorly installed, barely hanging in place. The bathroom light fixture was filled with dead bugs, making the lighting dim and disgusting. I stayed at Super 8 by Wyndham Stamford/New York City Area and the experience was worse than I expected. This place is the definition of you get what you pay for. The problems started before I even got to my room. The smell of marijuana was everywhere in the hallways and lobby. Other guests openly smoked in common areas. The noise never stopped. You could hear people walking above you late at night and early in the morning. I had to leave the TV cranked just to drown out the sound. Many other guests reported the same constant noise and hall traffic issues. The front desk was a major problem. No staff supervised the area for long stretches. I needed change and waited about forty-five minutes with no one at the desk. I called the hotel number. No one picked up. No one even tried to answer.

Upon arrival, the hallways and my room had a strong odor of marijuana. I reported this to the front desk, who appeared to be the manager, but the only response I received was to “close the bathroom door.” The smell was present throughout the building, but due to being extremely tired after several hours of driving, I stayed for the night.
