Courtyard by Marriott Stamford Downtown

My room was great, friendly staff, Italian restaurant down stairs was great, location was 15/10, walkable area with great food scene and things to do. The only complaint which is not due to hotel is all of the construction going on across the street. If you're someone that wants to sleep in maybe bring ear plugs. Noise starts as early as 7am for a building across the street depending on which way you're facing. Would definitely come stay here again.

My wife and I have stayed at Stamford's Marriott Courtyard several times over the past decade and have found it comfortable, quiet and very centrally located. Today, unfortunately, I had to cancel our reservation there for the upcoming weekend due to the approach of a large winter storm that would make travel from our home in Virginia treacherous. I am writing this review to commend the fine work of the lady at the hotel's front desk who answered my cancellation call earlier today. She answered after 3 rings; did not put me on hold or send me to another line; and handled the cancellation pleasantly, in less than 3 minutes. We stayed one night and had a fun time, albeit short. Friendly staff. Easy valet parking, which wasn't too pricey. This hotel is near many restaurants, with Summer Street offering several eateries. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. We appreciated the nearby ice machine and bottle filler.

I had a great experience with all touch points of my stay. From check in to check out. Room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. It was very quiet. Everyone went above and beyond. I have traveled a lot and this hotel is one of best in all aspects. The front desk staff was wonderful. They were very informative, welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. They saw it was my boyfriend’s birthday and wished him a happy birthday as soon as we arrived. They helped us find a restaurant and other things to do around Stamford. We will be in Stamford often and definitely will be returning to this hotel. It is also located right in the middle of all the great restaurants and bars. I highly recommend this hotel.

If you are looking for a central location where you can pivot to anywhere this is your place. Restaurants everywhere, Target around corner, and the train station to NYC is walking distance! I measure a hotel by the "experience" and the staff did everything that you would expect a Marriot world class hotel staff to do and then some. WOW, do not miss an opportunity in Stamford and stay here. As a Floridian it was a bit cold but Marriot had nothing to do with that!
