The Stamford Hotel

I wanted to express how awful tonight was for me and my family. We came into our room and the toilet was overflowing and appeared to be clogged. There was water all over the bathroom floor, which was extremely unpleasant and inconvenient to deal with. On top of that, our TV was not working. We were asked if we wanted it replaced, which only added to the frustration since multiple things in the room were not functioning properly from the start. The worst part of the experience, however, was the customer service. Liz, the person who was on duty tonight, was very unhelpful and unpleasant when I called the front desk. I called because our room only had ONE towel, even though we booked a double room that cost almost $300. A room like that should have at least four towels available for guests.

What a DUMP!!!! I’m currently staying in a room 808 and man this hotel is terrible! The bed looks like it was made in a hurry and had lint covering all the sheets as soon as I came in the room of course I had to clean it! There’s holes in the walls with ripping wall paper, the electrical that you charge your phone on is broken loosely hanging on the counter next to my wife’s side of the bed and for some reason it’s sticky like goo gone was used on it at some point, stains in the carpets and there’s more but here’s the winner when I was taking a shower this morning I look on the ceiling of the shower and it had hair all on the ceiling there’s more I can write but this is pathetic that this complaint is this long DO NOT STAY HERE PLEASE USE ANOTHER HOTEL!!!!

Positive: "" Negative: I had to request towels everyday. They never changed the beds for 4 days. Did not remove trash. The restaurant was only open to a hockey team. No breakfast. Coffee was only available from 6am to 8am.

We were here for almost 3 weeks. I must say, a couple of people on the staff were great, we had a spacious and reasonably priced room, very comfy beds, preferences were noted and issues taken care of, as soon as possible. I gave it 4 stars because there were some issues, though not so major. On our first night, there was no hot water, engineering had to come in, the hot water was not great after but I managed though not pleased. One other night, there was no hot water at all in the entire hotel because of some breakdown in the boiler room. Our bathroom door did not have a hanger for towels but that was quickly resolved. I had a 1 night stay at The Stamford Hotel 2/7/26 to attend an event being held downtown. This hotel was chosen for a few reasons (with many other nearby options), mainly for location, availability of indoor pool access, reasonable cost and the option to upgrade for a small $25 fee to a "Wellness Package" per room. Myself, as well as 5 other parties all booked rooms the same weekend for the same event and all in different rooms. We all chose to upgrade to the "Wellness Package" which was to include "light snacks and a healthy breakfast". Upon check-in, the front desk staff were courteous and efficient...but from there, the stay quickly went downhill.
