Super 8 by Wyndham Springfield North I-44

I reserved a room for 2 nights on a booking website and when I got to the hotel the day for check-in they told me it would be a deposit ($250-says in terms and condition) and then extra $200 to stay, but none of it would be used for the payment at the hotel. I chose the option to pay on the property, but I wasn’t able to check-in. Yet they still ran my card on file for the 2 nights that I was supposed to stay there. And when I asked if I could just cancel the reservations the hotel told me to call the booking site. Well I did and they told me to call the hotel. Not to mention the employee was rude, and very hard to understand. And was getting frustrated that I couldn’t understand what they were saying. I will not be reserving a stay here again. There’s nothing quite like waiting until you’re checking in to be told there’s NO breakfast - it’s just not ok. There’s no mention of this on any of their websites - I’ve checked, and my booking definitely states that a breakfast item is included. All they need to do is supply some granola bars, a prepackaged muffin or a piece of fruit for goodness sake - no preparation required. And the only coffee is that sachet in your room. They are just lying to their guests on arrival and stating that they’re doing renovations. Positive: The room seemed nice and upgraded. Negative: The description online did not match the hotel. No wifi password given. There was no breakfast or coffee served. I tried to find an employee the morning we checked out, but couldn't find a single employee working at the hotel! Terrible customer service!!!

I have severe degenerative arthritis and therefore got a handicap room. The bed was so high i couldn’t get in. Called desk and asked for a stool or something to stand on and never heard back from them. Got my rail from the car which I brought for my sister’s bed to help but still couldn’t get in. Finally had to use my soft side suitcase to stand on to get in bed. Shower head and hairdryer were placed way above my head. I could not use either. Wheelchair person would have been unable to function. On the positive side, it was quiet, the room was clean and looked to be recently updated.

Absolutely do not go to this place. It was unbelievably dirty, and there were bugs in the room. I unexpectedly needed a place to stay and decided on this place based on the affordability and the location. The gentleman that I spoke to when I first arrived was very nice but what the hotel doesn't tell you is that you need a $250 deposit. I didn't have the money but they had already charged my card for the original stay for two nights and then they told me that an order for them to refund it. It would take around five business days so now I was stuck in a position where I wouldn't have money to go anywhere else. They adjusted my stay to one night and lowered the deposit down to $125 which is still insane and then I had to stay up all night asking friends and family members to see if they cou
