Super 8 by Wyndham Springfield East

I booked 2 nights online at Super 8 and everything you read about the negative reviews are true. The front desk worker was an Indian woman who was very respectful. My first room had a big hole behind the door, I guess from it being slammed into the wall because there’s no door stopper. I asked to be moved and she did so. The 2nd room was better so I unpacked, just to find the door was missing a top lock. I requested to be moved again. My 3rd room was directly next to the elevator, so not only did I hear the clunking through the walls all day, but my room smelled like mildew and smoke. Positive: It was disgusting Negative: It was not clean. The hallways, room, common areas were very dirty. I don't think they have ever ran a vacuum in the stairwell. Smelled like pee/mildew. The breakfast was stale cereal, warm milk, warm yogurt and toast. Refrigerator was set to 45 degrees.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. I arrived feeling unwell and found it very difficult to receive any assistance from the staff. There appears to be a serious mold issue in several areas of the property that has not been properly addressed. On the day of my scheduled checkout, I had to visit the hospital, and upon my return, I discovered that some of my belongings were missing and the rest had been moved to a room with a strong odor and visible mold. It’s concerning that management prioritizes personal luxury over maintaining a safe and healthy environment for guests. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The room is quite nice, almost clean, spacious, and fully equipped. The service was really good. You can find everything in the area.|The breakfast was average.

Room was not cleaned. Had old chipped toe nail polish in cracks of floor. Really outdated room. Hallways and stairwells are dirty. Hotel smells really bad especially down in lobby. Breakfast is just white bread and cereal. Outside of the hotel is super dirty. Lots of garbage and clothing all over grass and in bushes. Would not recommend staying here
