SpringHill Suites by Marriott Springfield Southwest

This Springhill Suites (Springfield, IL) was exceptional. The service was outstanding. Even though our room had a few issues the staff was more than accommodating; they even delivered our takeout order from an outside restaurant to our door. The breakfast was delightful and the stuff was attentive. We look forward to our next visit!

Staff was friendly and always had a hello when we passed through the lobby. Making sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is about 3 years old and very modern decor and located in a great area with plenty around to do. The all suite hotel has very comfortable rooms. The bed was very nice and allowed for a great nights sleep, the pillows were good for most people, but we carry our own. The bathroom was layed out nicely with a large shower. They have a nice couch with trundle for additional sleeping when needed. The breakfast bar was ample with both hot and cold offerings. On Saturday morning we were able to get breakfast to go in the form of egg/cheese muffins or egg/cheese/sausage muffins. We highly recommend the hotel and look forward to our next visit.

At checkout, they didn't appreciate my comment about the couch pillows. I told them that I got an itch as soon as I put my head on them. They should sanitize or wash the couch pillows regularly. My bath towel had someone's hair.

As far as hotels go, this one is perfect for that business trip. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. The property is well kept, the service is very friendly, the breakfast is probably the best "included breakfast" I have had at a hotel in the last five years. You can tell this folks take pride in their property.

Our 1st stay here and is very very well staffed and cared for! The breakfast spread was stellar! So many options for cleaner eating! Very attentive to me as I was wanting a lesser cold water for a fill before we took off. I assume that this young woman was a manger of hospitality, and she hopped right up from her meeting to let me in the fitness area to fill my water bottle. I am sad I cannot name her, but this review will let her know as we talked of our lack of desire for ice🤭. Our room was so perfectly clean!
