Inn At 835 Boutique Hotel

This historic hotel was a disappointment to us. The room showed a nice balcony which was in fact shared and gave us no privacy both in our room and using the balcony. Mosquito problems from standing water ate me up. They went on about having a chef that would make a wonderful tailored breakfast and then a young rude kid meets us the next morning and says all we have is sausage. We passed. We did like the historic building and maybe others will find it more charming.

My husband and I take a trip every October and try to stay somewhere unique. This was perfect! We stayed in the Lily Room. Every evening, they bring chocolate chip cookies to your room - outstanding! And it was pretty nice to smell the fresh baked cookies through the inn hallways. Very clean and feels very safe and secure. There is a continental breakfast available each morning in addition to a fresh cooked breakfast - one morning they were offering apple pie stuffed French toast with eggs, bacon, and sausage, and the next morning was biscuits and gravy with eggs and fruit. Very quickly prepared and very kind chefs. They even have small appetizers available in the evening. Very close to the Dana Thomas House and other downtown tourist attractions. Stayed in Orchid Suite. My friend and I each had our own room with comfy beds. We could visit in the spacious living room, crank on the fireplace and enjoy sme wine and snacks or cookies that they provide. The building is stunning. Everyone is very friendly. They also do events and have a new space in back for them. Best of all, the location is so convenient to walk to all the sights downtown . We walked everywhere.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff was simply outstanding. We had some minor issues and all were resolved promptly and happily. Some of the reviews mentioned noise from the nearby train tracks; we heard the noise during the daytime but were never bothered at night. The wifi was pretty slow, but we had great 5G reception and so the wifi was on issue. Perhaps the best thing, as mentioned by many reviewers, were the fresh chocolate chip cookies provided each evening; they were terrific. The breakfasts in the morning were also very good.

3 nights in the Wisteria room was not a pleasant experience.||Upon arriving the suite's front porch is disgusting. It has cobwebs, no flowers in the pots, leaves and bugs everywhere. The plastic chairs were filthy. It is not an inviting space or an area I would set.||The carpet is threadbare and dirty/stained.||The towels were stained with black.||There were stink bugs and spiders living in the room. We killed several.||1 of the 2 sinks in the bathroom did not drain.||There was no place to hang towels to dry between showers and without daily maid service for replacement this was a BIG issue.||The Kureg, coffee maker, is a nice touch but once again without daily maid service to replace used pods it was useless. ||The ironing board could not be lowered and or stored, creating an unusable
