Super 8 by Wyndham Mt. Vernon IL

This was a very charming hotel. The rooms had a vintage feel and look that I found very appealing. I really like the design and the beds were very comfortable. The front desk lady who checked us in was helpful and nice. We felt safe and at ease. After our last encounter at a Wyndham hotel, I was hesitant to stay in one again. This Super 8 definitely made up for that. I’d definitely stay again and most likely will. Thank you

There is no elevator and the tub was terribly slippery. It needs updated, especially the frayed carpet both in and out of the room, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Positive: That real people came out because the virtual was not working Negative: Even though there’s no smoking signs everywhere, it smells like weed

Room was very clean. Pillows and bedding were great. It was nice and quiet and I gad a good night5sleep ahead of my 6 hour drive. From revies, I wasn't sure what I'd find but I am very pleasantly surprised and thankful. My doggie liked it as well. Great place overall with good value!

The hallways are freezing cold. And although I knew it was 3:45 a.m.and breakfast started at 6, my one and a half year old grandson ran out if milk. The vending machine was broken so I couldn't even get him a Gatorade or juice. I asked the front desk if they could please make an exception and grab us a small amount of milk from the back. I was told no breakfast doesn't open until 6. The little heater that was in the room did not warm the bathroom so there was no shower taking. When I called the hotel the night before to let them know we would be arriving late , I called 17 times and was hung up on before I even spoke a word. I called Wyndem as I am a rewards member and the hotel didnt even answer for them. I had to email the hotel to let them know of my late arrival and they still called n
