Motel 6 Mount Vernon, IL

We stayed 2 nights, discount wasn't given, day manager VERY rude when I asked for my deposit, found bugs in the room this morning, Mgr didn't care & was rude again. Day clerk rude when asked for Mgr, night clerk was astounding. If other personnel was as hospitable as night clerk, might have better business! Housekeeping was nonexistent during our stay after being told we'd have clean towels, night clerk apologized & brought them. Day clerk...save your breath cause she doesn't care...same with manager! Will NEVER do business with this location again!! Have notified health department of roaches & bare accessibility accommodation.

Behind America's best value Inn hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful to get a room for one night. The room was very comfortable and clean. No bed bugs and a smoke free zone. The beds were very comfortable. I was able to take a nice warm shower to wake me up with bright eyes and a busy tail. 1000 stars.

Rooms are small, but clean. I appreciate that the room does not have LED light bulbs!

I travel back and forth to see my grandchildren. Have used Motel 6 twice. Both times room was comfortable and clean. There is a mini frig and micro wave but no coffee pot. The internet worked well the first time..hardly worked at all this last time. A/C in room was powerful and not too noisy. Hotel was quiet and the front desk person was really friendly. Priced inexpensively so worth an overnighter.

If you’re seeking cheap and convenient this is definitely a great choice for you. The odor that greeted you upon entering the room smelled like mop head used hadn’t been changed in years. the new ownership has very poor maintenance and unclean rooms. Owners live on the property and the rooms are old and not very well maintained, lights were not working properly, microwave and refrigerator were filthy, and the tub looked as if they just rinsed out absolutely no cleaner used at all, I purchased cleaner from Walmart to accommodate my stay as refund wasn’t optional, I also purchased my own towels because the motel towels were old and stained. When it comes to travel and stay or whatever the circumstances more expensive options are the way to go. It’s amazing the money being made here isn’t be
