Super 8 by Wyndham Merrillville

Your basic Super 8. Nothing exceptional or memorable. Room was clean, and everything in the room was in working order. Budget friendly place to rest before hitting the road again the next morning. Front desk guy was friendly, and check-in process was super quick.

Room, bed, & pillows, smelled like smoke! Dog bites on bathroom door frame & toilet seat cover!!! Very Disappointing. Even though, I know it was a low priced ($65) per night room.

THEY DO NOT CHANGE THEIR SHEETS BETWEEN CUSTOMERS. I stayed here on 11/3/25. I checked the revies and they seemed okay. Mixed but okay. I always check the beds on arrival and when I pulled back the sheets, there were crumbs at the foot of the bed. Like they had smoothed them out and remade the bed rather than changed the sheets. I went to the front desk and they offered me another room and came with me to check it. When I pulled back the bedding to reveal a huge dark stain on the sheets, the manager got mad at me for doing it. He offered me a partial refund because he said I booked online, but he had ran my card for the entire amount. The rooms with the kitchens in it feel like. A studio apt. & The people are pretty nice . Besides the deposit... It isn't bad. At all. The rooms are nice & way better than the 6 .. pricing the same and this is way more classy with pillows that are nice & rooms that are decent! Only tried it one time but pretty good . Probably will be trying again here soon.

Positive: The daytime desk person (manager) was attentive and responsive. The young lady on the afternoon shift was dismissive and somewhat rude, not allowing us to talk by cutting us off (mid sentence) with a dry, disinterested response. Negative: No towels, the maid left our room door ajared (open) while she cleaned other rooms, the maid came in our room 4 different times, without knocking. The ice machine, and both vending machines were out of order. Overall cleanliness was greatly lacking.
