Residence Inn by Marriott Merrillville

We were in town for a soccer tournament and the hotel was perfect for our trip. The staff and service was amazing especially our breakfast to go made for our early departure to a game - thank you! The front desk was upfront when we arrived stating the pool was closed and the hotel was under a complete renovation. This was greatly appreciated and not an issue at all for us. Thank you for the great stay and appreciate the smiles delivered by the staff - keep up the great work!

I have been staying at this hotel consistently for the last 11 years. The employees are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel will be starting a complete renovation in a few weeks! That is exciting for those who stay here on a regular basis!

Stayed in a suite. Staff were very friendly. While the room is dated by modern standards, our room was very spacious and very clean. The full kitchen comes with pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. Unfortunately, the room was a bit cold no matter how much I fumbled with the thermostat. There were plenty of breakfast options to satisfy the next day. Overall, I was very happy with my stay at the Residence Inn. I would definitely stay at this location again in the future.

First time here. Friendly staff. Good location. I stopped at the post office, AAA local office, Maxim's Greek Restaurant, and Fannie Mae's, all within a mile or so of the hotel. Got a nice suite for about the same price as a regular room at other hotels. It was nice and quiet on the third floor. Mattress was firm and very comfortable. I had no back pain. I'm not sure what the deal was with the thermostat. I had it up to 90 and it was still chilly. I turned off the fan, which seemed to help some. Someone was nice enough to cover my driver's side window with plastic so my seat wouldn't get wet when it rained overnight. No idea who did that, but if it was an employee of the hotel, know that it's the little gestures like that that keep customers coming back.
